State Security

We use cookies to track your login session as you move through the site.

You can select "Stay Logged In" in order to keep yourself logged in at the site, even if you close your browser, so you dont have to log in each time you come to the site from the same computer. This uses a 'persistent cookie'.

Or, you can opt not to stay logged in, in which case you will have to log in whenever all instances of your browser have closed. This uses a 'session cookie'.

You can always press the 'Logout' button, and close your session immediately, and it will stay closed until you log in again.

Stay Logged In Not Working?

If the 'Stay Logged In' function used to work for you, but doesn't now, it is most likely your browser, not the server, causing the issue.

This usually occurs when the 'persistent cookie' is not returned by the browser. Cookies are little pieces of information that track your login session. There are two cookie types, 'session cookies' and 'persistent cookies', and 'persistent cookies' are required to stay logged in.

There are two primary reasons why the browser doesn't return the persistent cookie:

  1. There is a corruption in the cookie library of the browser. To fix this, clear cookies, close all instances of the browser, and restart it.
  2. You are running in a mode which filters cookies. This could be running 'incognito mode' (chrome).. or 'private window' (firefox) or by changing your cookies settings to 'more strict' or some such thing.

In any case.. those are the things you want to look for.

If it used to work, and it just started happening, but those two things don't clear it up, then it is probably a different network device having issues and will clear up in a day or two.. as mysteriously as it showed up.

If you have any questions, just send me a MSG and I will try to answer.. Thx!
