Dead Account Asset Transfer Policy

This states our dead account policy. A dead account is one which has expired.

The purpose of this policy is to ensure that dead accounts do not lock up nicknames and roomnames for indefinite periods of time and helps to provide continuity to role playing groups.

If an account expires the contents of the account are not removed for at least 1 year.

After a year:

1) The account may be deleted, along with all nicknames, rooms, and files.

2) A nickname in the account may be deleted and released for someone else to use. Files associated with the nickname will be deleted.

3) A room in the account may be deleted and released for someone else to use. Files associated with the room will be deleted.

4) A room which is not private may be transferred to another citizen, if either the citizen can demonstration a firm connection to the room, the room is integral to a role play group, or exists for the benefit of the site. In this case, the room configuration, ftp files and archive files will transfer, if citizen qualifies to receive the room.

5) Private rooms are generally not transferable from dead accounts. The only exception would be if you can demonstrate that you have the password to the room or have ongoing access, and that you have existing room designer privilege, to prove existing FTP file access.

If there is a nickname or room that you want or need help with, and you believe it is in an expired account, send a note to seph for help.

If you are asking for a room, be sure to let us know if you are asking for the room name, or the room intact. Otherwise, you might end up with the name when you wanted the whole room.

Who gets the room?

What if person wants someone else's room.

The factors we consider when looking at a room transfer include:

  1. Has the person posted in the room? When and How Much?
  2. Is the person a room admin? (BIG ONE)
  3. Is the person a designer? (Kinda a big one)
  4. Is the person blocked from the room? (Don't worry, we check, and they don't get the room)
  5. The story and situation as relayed by the person asking.

Hope that help!

Thanks! Love seph
